In May, U.S. President Barack Obama and NATO members have prepared a plan to transfer Afghan security into the hands of Afghan forces by the summer of 2013. The new French president Francois Holland expressed a desire to withdraw all French troops from the country by the end of this year. Homemade bombs, suicide bombers and Afghan security forces fire on military coalition - all this goes on and leads to new victims.

During the first month of summer in Afghanistan killed 39 coalition troops. During the entire campaign killed 3071 - approximately one death every 30 hours since the invasion in October 2001.
